Curriculum Overview

This is a six-week course. Each week will include 90 minutes of class time, 60 minutes of group coaching, about an hour of homework, and a whole lot of learning and fun.

Prework - Jump Start Your Development

Self-paced modules and reading to get you started on your journey as a Catalyst to be completed prior to the first session.

Week 1 - Evaluate Your Change Making

Skill-building begins by assessing your current state. Understand what prevents you from successfully creating change, the attributes of the most effective change-makers, and your strengths and opportunity areas.

Week 2 - Visioning and Planning

The most effective change-makers can clearly articulate the destination. Have you explicitly communicated the change you’d like to make and the steps to get there?. Create an Action Map that outlines your vision and concrete steps to achieve that vision, with input from your Catalyst peer group.

Week 3 - Influence & Networks

Influence is at the heart of creating organizational change. Exercise ways to build influence and social capital, map your network to remove organizational blockers and develop the most important long-term allies to create change.

Week 4 - Demonstrating Impact & Efforts

How successfully can you speak to your impact and the steps it took to achieve it? Bring people along on the journey toward change by helping them understand the path and the impact you and your colleagues make along the way.

Week 5 - Overcoming Obstacles with Storytelling

Changemakers provoke resistance. Explore ways to break through resistance and sharpen your storytelling skills, in both oral and visual communication.

Week 6 - Putting it All Into Practice

We close by developing a concrete action plan forward and celebrating what is already working.
