The World Needs Changing and Empowered Change Makers
Catalysts are change makers; we help envision and create positive change in the world. It is our mission at Catalyst Constellations to support the global Catalyst community as we tackle some of our country’s and the world’s biggest problems. And we need you right now. The world needs changing and empowered change makers.
“I am, and always will be a Catalyst for change.” ~ Shirley Chisholm
Our hearts grieve as we continue to see racial injustice play out over and over in our country. We believe that to stay silent is to take sides. We believe we all need to take active steps toward anti-racism.
As founders of Catalyst Constellations, we are cultivating with intentionality, our global Catalyst Galaxy community as a place where we have open dialogue and where we ensure all Catalysts feel supported and safe.
We know that Catalysts often feel a deep, almost physical sense of connection to the change they are trying to make in the world. When resistance to the change, or even the change maker themselves, is encountered, Catalysts can internalize these feelings. This in turn can impact our sense of self-worth or our belief in our ability to make change.
Our hope is that the Catalyst Constellations community is a place where you can bring your whole self, get support from a global community, and develop and enhance your ability to make more effective change and thrive at the same time. We are actively cultivating a space where Catalysts (ourselves included) can develop awareness about different perspectives with appreciative listening while continuing to develop self-awareness. We appreciate that we may stumble at times and our ask is that this beautiful community feels empowered to speak up, provide feedback and suggestions that will help us all be our best, most supportive selves. We believe this is one way to help you feel support as an empowered change maker.
As we have been on our own journey to self-educate, take a more active stance, and lean in more, we have come across a few good resources as we stand together for equity and justice. Because as activist Angela Davis said, “In a racist society, it is not enough to be non-racist, we must be anti-racist.”
We’d love to hear from you about what resources have been helping to guide you through these difficult times.
